Autorama was founded in 1979 by Johann Janse van Rensburg after a career in sales at the local VW dealership. The dealership originally started doing business at the corner of Park and Voortrekker streets and in 1988 moved to its current premises at 38 Voortrekker street Klerksdorp. In 1991 Marius Janse van Rensburg joined the company and in 2003 brother Johann (jnr) joined the business. The two brothers are currently operating the business and strive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.
