Mercedes-AMG has further expanded its GLC lineup with the introduction of two new coupé models. These add to the mid-size SUV series and combine dynamic design with AMG performance in the form of the GLC 63 S E Performance Coupé, the brand's first hybrid SUV coupé.

This model offers a 500 kW system output. However, for those looking for a slightly more accessible option, the GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé offers 310 kW, with an additional 10 kW boost from its belt-driven starter generator.

Both models come with various features to enhance performance, including rear-axle steering, all-wheel drive, and the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission. The GLC 63 S E Performance stands out with its hybrid powertrain, combining the AMG 2,0-litre turbo engine with an Electric Drive Unit (EDU) on the rear axle. This setup offers rapid acceleration, immediate torque response and better weight distribution, ensuring optimal handling and balance.

The interior reflects the signature AMG styling, with high-quality materials and design touches that enhance the driving experience. The seats are upholstered in Artico man-made leather and Microcut microfibre, with optional Nappa leather for added luxury. The steering wheel, available in either Nappa leather or a combination of Nappa leather and Microcut microfibre, offers excellent grip and includes AMG-specific controls for a range of dynamic driving functions.

In terms of technology, both models are equipped with the latest MBUX infotainment system, featuring AMG-specific displays and functions. For those who enjoy track days, the AMG Track Pace feature comes standard in the GLC 63 S and is available as an option in the GLC 43, providing real-time data for speed, acceleration, and lap times.

Under the bonnet, the GLC 43 4MATIC boasts a 2,0-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 310 kW and 500 Nm of torque, with that additional 10 kW from the starter generator for short bursts of extra power. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4,8 seconds, with a top speed limited to 250 km/h.

The GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE takes things up a notch with a system output of 500 kW and a massive 1 020 Nm of torque. The high-performance battery and electric motor combine to take the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3,5 seconds, with a top speed of 275 km/h.

Both models are equipped with advanced suspension systems to enhance driving dynamics, including the AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive damping and the AMG Dynamics drive program, which offers a range of settings for different driving styles and conditions.

Pricing for the Mercedes-AMG GLC Coupé models starts at R1 911 750 for the GLC 43 and R2 930 000 for the GLC 63 S E Performance. Both prices include VAT and a 5-year/100 000 km service and maintenance plan.
