It is not often we hear of prices coming down and, to be honest, the new Omoda C5 Style is not so much a price drop as a new entry at R88 000 less than the previous base model.
Priced at R359 900, the newly introduced C5 Style is far from under-equipped. While its exterior mirrors that of the C5 Tech, it also debuts a striking Bloodstone Red shade in its colour range.

Under the bonnet, it boasts the same turbo-charged 1,5-litre petrol engine found in the rest of the lineup (except for the C5 GT, which offers enhanced performance). This engine delivers peak outputs of 115 kW and 230 Nm to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with manual-shifting capabilities.
The C5 Style’s extensive standard features include a leather-trimmed steering wheel, front sports seats, a 10,25-inch instrument cluster, a 10,25-inch touchscreen system (complete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), a six-speaker sound system, a reversing camera, automatic air-conditioning, cruise control, automatic LED headlights, and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels.

Safety is comprehensively addressed with features such as anti-lock brakes with EBD, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, rear parking sensors, an electric parking brake, outer-rear ISOfix child-seat anchors, four airbags, and seatbelt reminders for both the driver and front passenger.

Like the rest of the popular Omoda C5 range, the new C5 Style comes with a 2-year/30 000 km service plan, a comprehensive 5-year/150 000 km factory warranty, and 5 years of Roadside Assist. Furthermore, the engine is covered by a 10-year/1-million km warranty, which is applicable only to the first owner of the vehicle.
