Major changes to the positioning of the A-pillars on the sixth generation Honda CR-V have helped to sculpt a sportier styling to go with an internal refresh that features high-quality materials and a wide instrument panel.
The interior styling is largely based on the design introduced initially with the 2022 Civic and, in the Honda CR-V, standard features include a digital instrument display, a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration, plus wireless phone charging.
The Honda 7-seater cabin is also quieter, more spacious, and rear seat legroom is improved by 15 mm and the rear seatbacks now recline in eight different angles (previously two angles) with a maximum 10,5-degrees of recline. There are also improved ISOFIX anchors that make it easier for parents to quickly and properly install front and rear facing child seats.
Road noise is reduced with new sound absorbing non-woven fabric front and rear fender liners and front floor undercover. A new sound absorbing insulation covers the floor, with spray-type urethane foam improving noise insulation by reducing the body gap at the base of the pillars.
It comes standard with new and advanced active and passive safety technology including expanded and improved Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technology with a new front sensor camera and radar system. Next-gen front crash bags, as well as new front knee bags, also are standard.
An updated version of Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure is designed to exceed current and future frontal crash tests, including oblique collisions.
The two variants for the local market will both be powered by an updated direct-injection 1,5-litre turbo-charged 4-cylinder engine that produces 140 kW at 6 000 r/min and 240 Nm of torque spans between 1 700 r/min and 4 500 r/min.
VTEC variable valve timing is now used on the exhaust side of the twin-cam head. tos improve exhaust efficiency and the turbo-charger now routes exhaust gas diagonally to the turbine wheel, and the turbine blades also have been reshaped, helping the it generate pressure in a wider range of engine speeds and more efficiently.
The continuously variable transmission (CVT) has s a quieter belt design and a thicker case that reduces vibrations. The CVT also provides significant drivability and performance improvements thanks to optimisation of Torque On Demand control, early downshift during braking and improvments to the Honda G Design shift.
The front MacPherson strut suspension has been re-tuned for a more comfortable ride, while heat treated lower ball joints reduce friction. A new lightweight, highly rigid cast aluminium subframe shaves five kilograms.
In the rear, the subframe for the multilink suspension has been stiffened with stronger mount points, and the rear spring rates of the mount support have been increased 15% for sportier handling and improved stability.

The 2024 Honda CR-V Executive grade features instrumentation with a new 7-inch color TFT display. The digital tachometer and numerical speedometer occupy the left and center, with a physical speedometer on the right.
The Flagship Exclusive grade is equipped with a 10,2?inch Interactive All-Digital LCD Instrument Cluster, from which the driver can seamlessly scroll through Music Playlists, Navigation directions, Honda Sensing functions as well as answer phone calls – all from the steering wheel.
