Changan Mazda Automobile Corporation, a collaborative venture between Mazda Motor Corporation and Changan Automobile, made a significant splash at Auto China 2024 (Beijing Auto Show) with the reveal of its latest innovations in electrified vehicles.

Among the highlights was the debut of the Mazda EZ-6, marking the beginning of a new era for electric mobility. Alongside it, the Mazda Arata concept model showcased the future direction of electrified vehicles' design.

The Mazda EZ-6 represents a milestone in collaborative efforts, blending Mazda's design philosophy with Changan Automobile's electrification technology. Scheduled for launch in China by the close of 2024, this vehicle is the first in a series of electrified offerings resulting from the partnership.

Its counterpart, the Mazda Arata, is slated for mass production by the end of 2025.

During the press conference, Masahiro Moro, president and CEO of Mazda, expressed enthusiasm for the alliance's achievements, emphasising its commitment to meeting the evolving preferences of Chinese consumers.

The Mazda EZ-6, boasting Mazda's renowned KODO design language and Jinba-ittai driving dynamics, offers customers a choice between battery electric and plug-in hybrid variants, ensuring a tailored driving experience.

 

Meanwhile, the Mazda Arata embodies Mazda's ethos of ‘Uplifting the Human Spirit’, presenting a fusion of futuristic aesthetics and modern functionality. As Mazda continues to prioritize the 'Joy of Driving' and 'Joy of Living,' these new electrified offerings aim to redefine the automotive experience for Chinese consumers.
