Omoda South Africa has revved up its local offerings with a two-derivative flagship in the form of the Omoda C9 that is available in both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), catering to different driving preferences.
At the heart of the Omoda C9 is a 2,0-litre turbo-charged petrol engine, delivering 192 kW and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Omoda C9 FWD variant comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate and premium black leather upholstery. It also boasts electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control with rear-seat vents.

Tech-wise, the FWD includes a 12,3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12,3-inch infotainment screen, combined into a single curved display. Other highlights include an 8-speaker Sony sound system, wireless phone charging, a head-up display, front and rear parking sensors, a 540-degree camera system and ambient lighting. Advanced driver-assistance features round off its impressive list of offerings.
The AWD model adds extra touches such as adaptive suspension, off-road driving modes, Nappa leather, a 12-speaker Sony sound system and an adaptive front lighting system. The AWD's interior is further enhanced with an integrated fragrance system and a sophisticated black-and-brown colour scheme, while its exterior features red brake callipers.

The Omoda C9 comes with a 7-year/100 000 km service plan, a 7-year/200000 km warranty and a 10-year/1-million km engine warranty for the first owner.
