To help combat tough economic conditions, JAC Motors has introduced a more affordable version of the X200 in the form of the 2,8-litre TDI single cab that has a 68 kW output and promises excellent fuel efficiency.

The new X200 model is powered by a 2,8-litre four-cylinder direct-injection, inter-cooled turbo-diesel engine, delivering 68 kW at 3 600 r/min and 210 Nm of torque between 1 800 r/min and 2 000 r/min. This engine is designed for fuel efficiency and tough working conditions, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels.
"The X200 range, equipped with our proven 2,8-litre turbo-diesel engine, is perfect for South Africa’s challenging environments. Customers can choose between the new 68 kW or the existing 80 kW derivatives to meet their needs without sacrificing power," added Göbel.

The X200 features a heavy-duty ladder-frame chassis, independent front suspension and safety is achieved through large front disc brakes, rear drum brakes and a load-sensing proportioning valve (LSPV).
The forward-cab design of the X200 increases the load box size, making it ideal for construction and industrial use. The single-cab model offers a load box nearly 2,8 metres long, supporting a maximum payload of 1 500 kg and its low deck height and standard dropside configuration facilitate easy loading and unloading, meeting modern cargo transport demands.

The X200's elevated driving position enhances visibility, while its compact size and 5,4-metre turning radius ensure manoeuvrability in tight spaces.
The new X200 2.8L TDI 68 kW derivatives come with a 7-year/200 000 km warranty, including a comprehensive 5-year/100 000 km coverage and an additional 2-year/100 000 km drivetrain warranty. Service intervals are set at 10 000 km or 12 months.
