On Saturday the 4th of February the HAVAL H6 owners club arranged a breakfast run meet and greet at the House of Ribs in Boksburg in the East Rand. This was their first event for 2023 with many more to come.

MurrayOnCars and MotorMatters was fortunate enough to have been invited to the event.

The HAVAL brand has been a force to be reckoned with over the last few years, producing affordable Premium cars and going from strength to strength in sales.

For those not familiar with the brand, HAVAL is one of the four brands of GWM, and became independent brand back in 2013, HAVAL has a strong product matrix covering basically all SUV segments. HAVAL is the first Chinese SUV brand to join the Five-million-sales Club globally.

We met with and interviewed our host Leon Steyn the chairman of the HAVAL H6 owners club which introduced us to the club members. Was great to meet the guys and girls and spend some time with them on the day.

From what I could gather there were in excess of around 30 HAVAL H6’s on the day, which is indicative of how popular the HAVAL H6 has become. Ranging from the H6 Premium, H6 Hybrid to the HAVAL H6 GT

There were also a few customized H6’s on the day. The ones that stood out for me was Leon’s H6 with some cool sporty accents and C’s black HAVAL H6 aka Black Panther with some really amazing attention to detail mods.

If you are a HAVAL H6 owner feel free to join the HAVAL H6 Gen 3, GT and Hybrid Owners Club – Southern Africa on Facebook (currently in excess of 3,700 members and still growing)
