GWM South Africa has become the first auto company to offer hybrid (HEV) models across its entire range, which incorporates the Haval Jolion Pro Hybrid, the Haval H6 Hybrid, the P500 Hybrid bakkie, and hybrid variants of the Tank 300 and 500 SUVs.
The newly launched P500 bakkie is GWM’s most powerful vehicle, boasting 255 kW and 648 Nm of torque. This significant leap in performance is attracting a broader audience, shifting the perception of hybrid vehicles from being the domain of environmentally conscious consumers to a viable choice for performance-driven motorists.

The Haval Jolion HEV delivers 140 kW and 375 Nm of torque, eclipsing the 105 kW and 210 Nm offered by its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. Similarly, the Haval H6 HEV combines 179 kW with 530 Nm of torque, a notable increase over the 150 kW and 320 Nm produced by the standard H6.
Adventure seekers can also experience high performance with lower emissions in the Tank range, where both the 300 Hybrid and 500 Hybrid deliver 255 kW and 648 Nm of torque.
GWM is also offering robust warranty coverage for its HEV range, including an 8-year/150 000 km warranty on high-voltage batteries
