Mazda has added an entry-level version of the CX-30 to its local range, but this comes in with a high level of standard specification and will be badged as the Active.

Standard features across the board on the CX-30 include a Head-Up Display, powerfold mirrors and push start ignition.

The CX-30 Active AT standard features see things such as Mazda i-Stop, Electronic Parking Brake and leather wrapped steering and gearshift knob enahnced with the addition of  Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, two USB (type C) connectivity ports and a 25-inch display screen.

Those additions are also applied to the 2.0L Dynamic along with 18-in alloy wheels, daytime running lights (DRL), wireless charging and front parking sensors.

All CX-30 Editions are powered by a 2,0 litre engine that delivers 121 kW of power and 213 Nm of torque coupled with a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Additional specification tweaks are applied to the CX-30 Carbon Edition  that gets a power liftgate and runroof, while the Individual Edition is gains all of the new features but also offers a Retro Sports interior option.

Adding to its range-topping status, the CX-30 Individual Edition now also boasts black outer mirrors, blindspot monitor and rear cross traffic alert.

Safety standards include an ultra-high tensile steel reinforced chassis and a knee crash bag for the driver as standard across all models.
