In tandem with the workhorse van, Ford South Africa has introduced the heavily revised 8-seater Ford Torneo people carrier, initially as a 2,0-litre single turbo diesel with AdBlue and priced at R999 200.
Also built of the new platform developed for the van, the newcomer is launched with Trend specification as a long wheelbase variant driving via an 8-speed automatic transmission and Ford says additional models will join the Tourneo line-up later this year.

And speaking of seats, the Tourneo's got a trick up its sleeve with a flexible track-mounted system in the second and third rows, allowing for easy adjustments to fit both people and luggage. But it's not just about versatility – the Ford Tourneo also prioritises your comfort on the road with features like tri-zone electronic climate control and heated seats for those chilly journeys.
Underneath, the Tourneo boasts an all-new architecture, offering a lower floor height and an integrated side step for easier entry and loading. Plus, its reduced overall height means it can navigate tight spaces with ease, while also improving efficiency and aerodynamics.

The Ford Tourneo is equipped with a 5G FordPass Connect modem, allowing owners to remotely lock or unlock the doors, remotely start the vehicle to cool or heat the cabin, and get vehicle-specific health alerts – all via the FordPass app. The modem also enables wireless Ford Power-Up software updates to improve Tourneo’s features and capabilities without requiring a trip to the dealership.
Included as standard is a 4-year/120 000 km Ford warranty, four-year/unlimited distance Roadside Assistance and five-year/unlimited distance corrosion warranty. The recommended service interval is 15 000 km or annually, whichever occurs first.
