Audi has announced an expansion of its Q3 engine offerings, introducing the new 35 TDI variant to complement its existing 35 and 40 TFSI powertrains, including the 2,5-litre TFSI from the RS Q3.
The new 2,0-litre TDI engine features advanced engineering, including two balancer shafts in the crankcase designed to reduce internal friction and enhance overall refinement. With a power output of 110 kW and torque of 340 Nm available from 1 750 r/min to 3 000 r/min, the engine is paired with Audi’s seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive.
Claimed fuel efficiency of just 4,9 l/100 km in the combined cycle with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h achieved in 9,2 seconds, with a top speed of 207 km/h.

The 35 TDI will be available exclusively in the Urban Edition and Black Edition trim levels, and Audi Financial Services is offering bespoke financing solutions for these new models. Through the Audi Assured programme, customers can establish a guaranteed future value for these special editions at the start of their contract.
The Q3 and Q3 Sportback 35 TDI Urban Editions feature classic Audi design elements, enhanced with chrome accents. Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, panoramic glass sunroof, Parking aid Plus, keyless entry and start, rear-view camera and power tailgate.
The Q3 35 TDI Urban Edition is priced at R832 270, while the Q3 Sportback variant costs R857 870. Each model includes a 5-year/100 000 km Audi Freeway Plan service and maintenance package as standard.

The Black Edition models offer blacked-out features and highlights include: 19-inch alloy wheels, panoramic glass sunroof, black exterior mirror housings and styling package, Parking aid Plus, keyless entry and start, rear-view camera, power tailgate, black headliner, electrically adjustable sport front seats, seat heating, flat-bottom steering wheel and storage and luggage compartment package.
The Q3 35 TDI Black Edition is priced at R908 450, while the Q3 Sportback variant retails for R934 050.
